For inspection of floor plate welds in storage tanks, Mequaltech offers vacuum box testing. Equipped with electric vacuum pumps or pneumatic venturi systems, our vacuum boxes can be adapted to the specific needs of each customer.
Corner Vacuum Box
Specially designed for inspecting tank fillet welds (critical joints), our corner vacuum box is 18 inches long and ensures fast, reliable verification of joint tightness. Equipped with a venturi system requiring only an electric compressor, this tool is an effective alternative to more time-consuming chemical tests, ideal for tanks of all sizes.
To meet difficult access requirements, we offer inspections carried out by highly qualified non-destructive testing (NDT) technicians, certified by SPRAT (Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians) or IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association).
