  • Introduction

Turnkey service for implementing the mandatory quality control manual for installers, repairers, and manufacturers of pressure equipment. We assist you at every step of the process, from gathering information to specific training based on your manual.

  • What Is The Quality Manual

This manual is intended for companies wishing to obtain a permit to work on pressure equipment while complying with Quebec laws and regulations, as well as the requirements of the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ). It enables you to meet the criteria required to operate as an installer, repairer, manufacturer, or operator-user of pressure vessels.

We provide the support you need to prepare for the RBQ audit and help you meet the requirements needed to obtain approval for your license.

  • Steps to Obtain an RBQ Permit

    • Obtain applicable standards

The first step is to obtain the necessary standards to ensure that your quality control manual complies with current regulations. We’ll guide you through these standards, so you understand exactly what’s required.

    • Getting your quality control manual accepted

We draw up your quality control manual (QCM) in compliance with the regulations and according to your specific needs. This manual will then be submitted to the RBQ for validation.

Review and validation by the RBQ: The RBQ will review the content of your QCP manual to verify its conformity with the activities you carry out and the standards applicable to these activities.

    • Demonstration of PCQ implementation in the company

Once your manual has been accepted, you’ll need to demonstrate its effective implementation in your company to an RBQ inspector.

We prepare you in advance to make sure you’re ready for the audit and can cope with any eventuality.

  • Requirements by Company Type

    Manufacturer or repairer

Once the RBQ has accepted your quality control manual, you’ll need to demonstrate its implementation. Here are the necessary documents and steps:

    • Submit plans and sketches of pressure equipment or other project.
    • Design calculations (if necessary).
    • Provide a detailed roadmap.

We’ll support you through these steps and provide the services you need.

    Installer

Once your quality control manual has been accepted, you will need to submit the following documents:

    • A route sheet.
    • Documents specifically requested by the RBQ inspector.

We’ll be happy to help you respond to RBQ requests and answer any questions you may have.

    • Permit issuance

Once the installation of the QCP has been deemed compliant by the RBQ, a permit will be issued for a period of 3 years. During this period, it is imperative that your quality control manual remains up to date and continues to reflect current requirements.

We’ll give you the support you need to be prepared to meet the requirements of your license approval audit with the RBQ.
